Age Management Insights: An Introduction
Confronting the
Aging Process
Nathan Sassover comments, “The puzzle that drove me was the recognition that no
matter how much we do to enlarge our brain in its capacity for achieving things,
we are always dealing with the evitable reality of aging. Notwithstanding our
ambitions, our dreams, or our aspirations, we’re invariably addressing and
confronting the degenerative aspects of aging, which take hold generally in our
early 40s, in a very subtle way perhaps, but not fully. Our best intentions, our
best wishes, our best aspirations are confronting the evitable reality of some
form of decline.
“The recurring question which echoes in our minds and spirits as we age is
“What’s happening?” It feels like the fog is rolling in …what will lift it and
for how long? We drift from casual recall of our ‘peak moments’, that ‘sweet
spot’ of optimal health, energy and self confidence in our life, now years in
the past, and wonder, how do I get that back and, really, can I get that back?
You know, ‘getting your groove back’, replays too often in our minds, surprising
us and with an insistence for an answer we’re unable to provide.
“So, as the years advance, we’re perpetually seeking and trying to find and
re-connect with the person we remember as being fully alive, aware, and vital in
all aspects on a continuous basis. Now that ‘person’…our once vital self,
becomes more of a distant memory…and seems to be running away in some direction
we can’t manage to catch up with. And then, all of a sudden we realize that it
may be just beyond our control. There’s a sense of resignation, helplessness,
frustration and, of course, a growing state of mental and physical exhaustion
colliding with that process of aging. “What we now call Nurenex took over 12
years before it could be considered as a possible wellness enhancement / age
intervention compound that men and women could actually benefit from. And, of
course I needed to expose it to the medical community and further needed to get
sufficient support and validation for what I’d been doing, because obviously I
am not traditionally trained – I am not traditionally schooled. Although some of
my inventions have resulted in products used by millions of people every day,
they are very different than what I speak about here. So, obviously, I did not
follow a linear path of development leading to the discovery of Nurenex and the
range of Age Management Therapeutics which followed.
“But over a period of 12 years I did look at, and research a number of things
based on my own interest, and taking an approach of looking at it outside the
usual framework of how various medications and pharmacologic processes are
developed. I wanted to understand what was available, in the world - now, that
might be joined in some way to create a program that truly provided intervention
in the physiology of aging. This was essentially trying to uncover some patterns
of aging and recurring processes which contribute to the progressive decline we
experience over time.
“I also felt that looking for the elusive molecule, enzyme or peptide was not
the approach to take, due to the ‘time release’ surprises i.e., ‘side effects’
which these more traditional scientific methodologies generally bring with them.
